I love Thanksgiving. I’d planned another slap-up meal this year for my small circle of American friends, but time ran away from me, and I’m still living out of bags and boxes. I was nervous to tell Jeremy that Thanksgiving chez girlprinter was going to be cancelled this year: he’s been curtailing calories in anticipation ever since a Nigella Lawson trifle I made in July. Instead, I offer a last minute link to a sensational recipe for parsnip-pear purée. It’s an Emeril recipe (which is somewhat embarrassing) but I promise you: it’s really, really good.
