Just in case you need to whip up a sensational side dish in a hurry

I love Thanksgiving. I’d planned another slap-up meal this year for my small circle of American friends, but time ran away from me, and I’m still living out of bags and boxes. I was nervous to tell Jeremy that Thanksgiving chez girlprinter was going to be cancelled this year: he’s been curtailing calories in anticipation ever since a Nigella Lawson trifle I made in July. Instead, I offer a last minute link to a sensational recipe for parsnip-pear purée. It’s an Emeril recipe (which is somewhat embarrassing) but I promise you: it’s really, really good.

Happy Thanksgiving!

If your cupcake recipes are anything to go by, this parsnip pear puree is going to be astounding. Thanks for the link! I'll file it away until next autumn when the parsnips will be perfect and the pears will be in season - hopefully the entire pear crop in VIC wasn't REALLY destroyed by hail/wind/fire/insert natural disaster, like the fruit maffia and media are telling us?
Happy Thanksgiving without the slap-up.

I love parnsips and a decent recipe featuring them is hard to find. Thanks!
